The New Civic Drive Train
Coming late 2022, the 11th generation Honda Civic is the final mainstream Honda vehicle to be electrified, featuring the most advanced version of Honda’s award-winning e:HEV full hybrid powertrain.
In addition, the all-new Civic has been painstakingly engineered to ensure that it delivers the performance and dynamic response that have always been central to the Civic’s appeal. The result is a car that blends a rewarding driving experience with highly competitive efficiency and emissions.
The exceptional e:HEV powertrain provides an impressive 50mpg with a WLTP CO2 emissions figure of just 108 g/km and combines this with a maximum power output of 135kW/ PS and 315Nm maximum torque, making the 11th Generation Civic the Driver’s Hybrid.
The exceptional e:HEV powertrain provides an impressive 50mpg with a WLTP CO2 emissions figure of just 108 g/km and combines this with a maximum power output of 135kW/ PS and 315Nm maximum torque, resulting in a compelling driver’s car.
To enhance driving pleasure and response a new control logic, ‘winding control’, ensures that the internal combustion engine’s operation is maintained during cornering on twisting roads. This enables the car to deliver instant acceleration, providing a truly dynamic sensation when accelerating. On the highway, the additional torque and electric drive.
The advanced powertrain shifts seamlessly between EV, hybrid and engine drive with no input from the driver, allowing you to focus on your journey safe in the knowledge that the Civic is always operating at peak efficiency.
Complementing the exceptional power output is the chassis’ design. The Civic e:HEV has been developed with particular focus on steering response and feedback, heightening the driver’s sense of connection with the car. A longer wheelbase and wider rear track improve stability in a straight line over its predecessor, and cornering stability and overall input response has been further improved with increased body rigidity, low friction ball joints and revised front dampers; all of which combine to enhance the dynamic feel.
Switching between four power modes – ECO, Normal, Sport and a new Individual mode – enables the driver to tailor the vehicle’s powertrain, steering and display, providing the perfect driving experience, whatever your preference.
